Purpose & Scope
The Committee has been constituted in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions. It aims to:

- Prevent ragging in any form (verbal, physical, psychological) within the college campus, hostels, and off-campus that may affect students of the Institution.

- Promote a healthy, respectful and safe environment for all students, especially freshers/junior students.

- Monitor, investigate and take prompt action on any reported case of ragging, in line with institutional rules, UGC regulations and legal provisions.

- Organise awareness programmes, orientation sessions for students, staff and parents about the harmful effects of ragging and the institutional policy of zero-tolerance.

- Maintain records of complaints, proceedings and outcomes, provide reports to the institution and relevant authorities.
