Purpose & Mission
The cell is established to ensure that every student, staff member and stakeholder enjoys an inclusive, respectful and equitable environment — free from discrimination on grounds of caste, creed, religion, gender, ethnicity, disability, language, socio-economic status or any other.
It aims to:
-
- Prevent discriminatory behaviour in admissions, academics, examinations, placement, campus life and other activities.
-
- Provide guidance, counselling and support to individuals from under-represented or marginalised communities.
-
- Promote diversity and equal opportunities across the college’s programmes and services.
-
- Maintain a neutral, safe mechanism for reporting, investigating and resolving complaints of discrimination.
-
- Raise awareness among students, faculty and staff about rights, responsibilities and institutional policy regarding equality.
