The candidate must pass (10+2) examination from any recognized Board.
Or
Vocational Stream: -
- CBSC Board pass (10+2) in Healthcare Science Discipline.
- Candidate pass from WBHS Vocational examination ,2023 onwards in Healthcare Science under Community Healthcare, must pass in any two of the following combination of subjects:
- 1. Community Health Counselor
- 2. Patient Care Assistant
- 3. Public Health & First Aid.
- Candidate who passed WBHS Vocational examination prior to 2023 with Community Healthcare under “Home Science” Discipline with combination of 3 vocational papers namely:
- 1. Community Nutrition
- 2. Hospital Management
- 3. Public Health & First Aid.

Entrance / Selection Process
- Admission through Joint Entrance Test for ANM & GNM. under West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.
- Merit is determined based on entrance exam score and/or marks obtained in 10+2 (in required subjects).
- After result declaration, counseling is held for seat allotment among participating colleges.
Application Process
- 1. Watch for notification
The WBJEE board publishes information about the exam: application start & end dates, exam date.
- 2. Online application
Fill out the application form online (through the WBJEE). You must enter details like educational qualifications, category, subjects, etc.
- 3. Pay the application / exam fee
A non refundable fee is required to register / apply.
- 4. Upload documents
Usually you’ll need to upload 10+2-mark sheets, age proof (birth certificate or equivalent), category certificate if applicable, passport photo etc.
- 5. Appear for entrance exam
On the scheduled date. The exam is online/pen paper (depending on that year’s pattern).
- 6. Result & merit list publication
After answer key / evaluation, results are announced. A merit list is made according to marks from exam (and in some cases might combine board marks) etc. Counseling / Seat allotment
- Candidates selected in merit list/cut off are called for counseling.
- During counseling you choose colleges/institutes in order of preference.
- Seats are allotted based on rank, preferences, availability.
- Then you have to Institute, verify documents, pay fees etc.
