Entrance / Selection Process
- Admission is through a common entrance exam in many cases. For BMLT under WBUHS this is JENPAS UG (Joint Entrance for Paramedical & Allied Health Sciences – Undergraduate) managed by WBJEE Board.
- Merit is determined based on entrance exam score and/or marks obtained in 10+2 (in required subjects).
- After result declaration, counseling is held for seat allotment among participating colleges.
Application Process
- 1. Watch for notification
The WBJEE / JENPAS-UG board publishes information about the exam: application start & end dates, exam date
- 2. Online application
Fill out the application form online (through the WBJEE / JENPAS-UG portal). You must enter details like educational qualifications, category, subjects, etc.
- 3. Pay the application / exam fee
A non refundable fee is required to register / apply.
- 4. Upload documents
Usually you’ll need to upload 10+2-mark sheets, age proof (birth certificate or equivalent), category certificate if applicable, passport photo etc.
- 5. Appear for entrance exam
On the scheduled date. The exam is online/pen paper (depending on that year’s pattern).
- 6. Result & merit list publication
After answer key / evaluation, results are announced. A merit list is made according to marks from exam (and in some cases might combine board marks) etc. Counseling / Seat allotment
- Candidates selected in merit list/cut off are called for counseling.
- During counseling you choose colleges/institutes in order of preference.
- Seats are allotted based on rank, preferences, availability.
- Then you have to report to college, verify documents, pay fees etc.
