Organization Background and Brief History

Established in 2003, Jugal Nath Memorial Society has consistently upheld the ideals of social welfare and inclusive development. Since its inception, the Society has been dedicated to creating a transformative impact on civil society by focusing on key areas of development.

Through persistent efforts, the organization has prioritized the educational upliftment of all sections of society, from elementary schooling to higher education programs at the college level.

Over the years, the Society has expanded its reach across North 24 Parganas, Birbhum, Bankura, Nadia, and Bardhaman districts of West Bengal. Jugal Nath Memorial Society firmly believes that educational empowerment is vital for achieving the vision of New India. Moving forward, it seeks to further strengthen its role in spreading education to empower the most vulnerable communities and secure their future.

Education

The Society strives to strengthen education at every level — from primary schooling to professional courses. Over the years, it has established:

  • English Medium Primary School (2008)
  • Bengali Medium Primary School (2012)
  • Vidyasagar B.Ed. College (2015)
  • Vidyasagar Paramedical Institute (2021)
  • Krishna Nursing Institute (2022)
  • Vidyasagar Pharmaceutical college of Education (2023)

Environmental Awareness

The Society actively promotes environmental consciousness and educates communities about the risks of global warming. Regular initiatives include:

  • Tree plantation drives held twice a year
  • Environmental awareness camps
  • Promotion of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Women’s Empowerment

Committed to bridging gender gaps and empowering women, the Society organizes:

  • Free Legal Aid Camps
  • Free Healthcare Camps
  • Career Counseling Programs
  • Skill-building and livelihood support initiatives

Health & Welfare

Since its inception, the Society has worked to enhance community health and welfare through:

  • 24-hour ambulance service
  • Regular blood donation camps
  • Free health check-up camps (four times a year)
  • Free eye-testing camps (four times a year)
  • Distribution of clothes and blankets among underprivileged people
  • Educational scholarships for deserving students from economically weaker sections
  • Support for differently-abled individuals
  • Annual bicycle distribution programs

Skill Development

To improve the economic well-being and quality of life of local communities, the Society conducts regular skill development programs under the guidance of experienced faculty and industry experts. It also promotes the ideal of lifelong learning as a foundation for self-reliance.
